Requesting data to SHOW on Credit Report

Hey guys, just after a little advice.
I have almost finished paying a bank loan that I took out to pay for my Masters degree, my last payment comes out in about a week. So, in total, I have paid back £7500 over around 24 months (can't wait to have the £350 a month back in my own pocket!).
I recently applied for a credit card, and was turned down, so I am looking at ways that will improve my credit score. Obviously I am on the electroll register etc.
Is it worth requesting that this loan be put on my credit report? Especially as I never missed a payment, paid on time in full every month etc.
Or is it too late, and it will merely show up as a a completed account which no-one will pay attention to?
Is it even possible to have it added at this late a stage?

You could ask the bank but I dont think they would pay any heed. If they do choose to add information it will show the account as settled and closed, which is all good so can only be positive.Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0

Things can be added at any point, even after paying off.
Why not write to the bank and ask them why it's not being reported?better than phoning as they may just fob you off easier.
Who did you check your credit report with? May be worth checking to other 2 as not all report to all 3. Equifax, experian, call credit (check for free via signing up to noddle):beer:0 -
I would get your statutory report from all 3 agencies. It costs £2 each.

Cheers guys.
I checked it on Noddle, I had an Experian account before, so I can't get there free trial.
I wasn't aware of the £2 reports though, that's something I will definitely look into.
Thanks guys0 -
Noddle are the least used so maybe on the other ones:beer:0
