I've just noticed on my Freecycle someone offering well rotted horse manure. So if you're up around Rainford and doing your garden it says to take as little or as much as you want.

    Just find any local stables. Most will be happy for you to take as much as you want.

    I got a load yesterday from the local rescue centre.
