Anyone else have a C & G morgage?

Does anyone have a C&G morgage and check the balance online? The reason being i was told some time back that they were looking into it but i hadn't heard anything then today i phoned for my mortgage balance and asked again about checking online and the bloke said i can now sign up to it but he didn't have a clue how to do it and told me to go into a local branch and they would help me.

So does anyone else sort thier C&G Morgage online :) ?

Thanks

I think someone once posted on here that you can access your mortgage online if you have a Lloyd's TSB account with online banking.
  • Thanks southend1, i don't have a TSB account :(

  • Yes, it is meant to show up at the bottom of the TSB banking page.
I have a TSB account but my balance doesn;t show. Not sure why.

As per the replies above, if you have Lloyds online banking you can see your mortgage balance.

We didn't have to request it, it just turned up one day, but we were already Lloyds customers.

Well all it gives you is the balance and ins/outs of each sub account.

You can't make online payments to it (yet).

That would suit me for the time being as i'm wanting to keep close eye on my balance, i can make overpayment into a local branch which is about 5 door down from a shop i work in as a volunteer.

Does it give an up to date balance on the mortgage like a bank account? :)

    Thanks

Just checked - it's giving me my balance as of today.

Obviously interest will have accrued, but it only gets added to my account on the 31st of each month so it's not 100% up to date. Payments are showing on the day they are applied from.

C&G mortgages have been online on Lloyds TSB online banking accounts since approx mid-Feb 2012.

More information in this thread. And the following information is essential if you want to overpay via this method:

Just rang c&g if you want to overpay via online banking and save on the phone call, go to make a payment and enter
    Account name : LTSB/C&G
    Sort code: 30 00 00
    Account number : 00353019
Then the reference number is your mortgage account number (14 digits) with 01 on the end. If you have multiple mortgage accounts you could change 01 to 02 etc.
    Hope this helps someone.
    have fun! :)
