Old-Style flannel pyjamas

Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I was hoping I could pick your collective brains. I have two pairs of lovely warm flannel pyjamas bought years ago in a Senza sale for a tenner. They're now seriously showing their age and I thought I might nose around and see if I could get a pair somewhere else on the cheap. Everywhere I look they're £40 quid or thereabouts .
Has anyone come across flannel pyjamas anywhere for a decent price? I don't like sleeping in fleece - I get too hot - and plain cotton won't keep me warm enough in winter I don't think. I don't have the skills to make them myself.
As a proper OSer, I am about to sew some new buttons on the ones I've got to spin out their lives a bit longer, and if I can't find any at a decent price I'll ask Santy for some for Christmas
but if anyone has tripped over some nice flannel PJs on their travels I'd be very grateful for the info!

Primark think they are about £8 a setPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

They're really popular now so most shops have them really cheap, our local market's got them for about a fiver.0

Worth checking out Matalan. Not sure about pyjamas but I saw a whole range of dressing gowns and slippers and stuff in there.0

Oh, brilliant - I thought Primark only did the fleecy ones, hadn't thought to look there for flannel. Will try to pop in tomorrow. La Senza website seems to be down, so couldn't look on there.

I buy vast quantities of brushed cotton and make pjs for my lot - I just use the trousers from a pair they are currently wearing as a template - dead easy - and buy cheap t-shirts or use t-shirts from the summer for the tops. I do the same with cotton in the summer. I don't make them all matching - they'd never wear them if they all looked alike!! I keep meaning to buy cheap flannel sheets to make the bottoms from as someone on here suggested, but I always forget and by lengths!"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

I've bought flannelette (brushed cotton) PJs in Bon Marche which have lasted well.
I wish we had a La Senza still, it's years since I saw real wool flannel - gorgeous but so expensive :drool:I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
As this has dropped down the board, ive moved it to the I wanna board
Primark always fits the bill for cheap warm pjs

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
