Should I pay off my mortgage with Nationwide or not? It is only just over £8,000. Will they go Public and if they do would I benefit if I had a mortgage still with them?

I honestly don't think they will go public but is it possible to pay down your account and just leave a £1 balance to keep it open ? I don't know the answer to that but it may be worth asking them.0

For savings it's £100 balance to get anything should it go public although it could be less for a mortgage account!0

i doubt they will go public, and you would need to check your mortgage offer, and it would depend how long you've had your mortgage with them. Nationwide have a section on the mortgage offer stating that you will not benefit from any public offering if you took out the mortgage after a certain date. The year 1995 springs to mind.0
