Free Day out - Easter Monday - BBC event at Edwardian stately home in the Borders
VISIT ONE OF BRITAIN’S FINEST EDWARDIAN MANOR HOUSES
Easter Monday 9 April, 2007
This Easter, Lion Television Scotland are filming a special programme at an Edwardian country house near Duns in the Scottish Borders, for BBC4’s Edwardian season. Its within easy reach by car of Edinburgh, Newcastle or even Glasgow.
We are looking for members of the public to come along on Easter Monday to take part in filming and enjoy exclusive access to this amazing house and its grounds.
Standing in 56 acres of beautifully kept grounds the house has extensive “downstairs” domestic quarters, magnificent stables and a stunning marble dairy building.
This special event will be hosted by Peter Snow alongside a panel of Edwardian experts who will be on hand to offer insight and answer questions. The programme will focus solely on the Edwardian era (1901 – 1914).
This will be the perfect Easter day trip so if you’d like to come along (with or without your own Edwardiana!) please do give us a call or email asap!
