TalkTalk Refusing Owed Refund

Hi guys,
Just looking for a bit of advice/perspective on an issue Im having. In a nutshell I moved home a few months ago and transferred my talktalk services with me. For the forst few months they kept cancelling my installation date but continued to charge me my monthly payments. I contined to pay to avoid any issues and they agreed to refund my payments for the period I didnt have any service at all. They didnt actually refund this, but credited it to my account. After cancelling the installation date for the 4th time I moved to BT and told talktalk I was cancelling completely with them due to being so unreliable and misleading. They told me my outstanding cash (about £60) would be repaid to my bank account within 28 days, needless to say it didnt appear! When I called them up today they told me they couldnt tell me why it hadnt been repaid but as the account was now closed they could do nothing about it!! So, the suggestion from talktalk was to contact my bank and tell them my final two payments should not have left as my account was in credit at that point (which is a lie as the credit was added AFTER the final two payments had left!) Talktalk have told me to make an indemnity claim againt the direct debit guarantee!
This seems not only unlikely to succeed but I feel it may even be an unlawful claim! I'm so angry and fed up with talktalk, its so frustrating waiting hours on the line to get absolutely nowhere!
Thanks all

Write to their complaints department. When the CSO told you there was 'nothing she could do' she was probably telling the truth, but that doesnt mean that no-one can. It's a straight forward case of a disappearing refund and they are obliged to look into it. Write all of this down, send it, copy OFT and then ring. When you have someone, demand to speak to a superior and then tell them what has happened. Chances are, they can do something about it.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 20130
