Credit Score Advice

I'm just wondering what peoples recommendations are on bettering my credit score. It currently sits at 800 on credit expert which is classed as fair. I have a barclayloan which I've never missed a payment of originally at £5000, I have £1100 on a barclaycard at 6% as it was a balance transfer and the limit is £1200, an overdraft with Natwest at £1800 (which never really changes) and finally £1200 on a capital one card at 20% with a limit of £1400.

I also have a default which will be removed from my file in January 2014 as that's the 6 years up. I've never missed and payments in over a year and haven't had any recent searches.

I plan on trying to pay off my cards or get a consolidation loan at a cheaper rate, but won't be able to do this until my rating improves.

Does anyone know if the rating will dramatically improve once the default is removed? And other than that the best way to improve my score. Thanks
