Another quick question regarding using home as office. I have worked out my annual costs for my home, am I right in saying that I can claim the portion of my mortgage interest as a cost of my dedicated office?

Okay so I am like a bone with this one lol!! Maybe I should keep paying the class two NI as I have been in the UK for 8 years now and whilst retirement is a long way off (long way) I have only been contributing for 8 years so this would help towards my state pension right???
if you're already paying NI through your employment, there are rarely any benefits to paying it through your self employment, unless you're over the limit and have to do so.

It doesn't make one year worth two if you pay both sets.

Thanks for that. After the reading the attached can I assume that I can apportion my council tax as well?
