If anyone is still here ,we have really good news.Tests show everything is clear(HURRAY!!!)Baby obviously still has a hole in HER heart, but has none of the syndromes that they feared,so according to the doctors it will be a normal pregnancy and birth. We are all so relieved. I''l Try to keep this short:
I was monitored for babys heart every other day and on stand by for rushing in if need be as my daughter had a suspected heart problem. I was induced with everything ready for worse case scenario.
She had narrowing of aortic arch and would have been dead within a week if not operated. She is now nine and we have her heart checked every year. She has a scar down her chest that i was so used to that when i had my second child thought she looked 'wierd' without one.LOL!
She has been a carnival princess and can do EVERYTHING.
I sometimes wonder was it something i did in pregnancy and have been fortunate enough to speak to a top consultant who said it just happens. When they did the pre op brief with me i still remember coming out of the room and my sister worried about the look on my face. He made the op sound so rountine like he was having a cup of tea.
Be positive, i asked my family to leave me alone sometimes as i needed space as well as hugs.
Off now to yell at said daughter to tidy her blinking room!Don’t put it down - put it away!

My son had a defect repaired by open heart defect when he was three. He has the zipper scar which he is incredibly proud of as am I as he is a little fighter. When in intensive care (he has been in several times) he came round, pulled out all his monitoring and demanded his shoes so he could go home. It is this attitude that will get him through life and defines him.
Anyway he is a strapping 6ft4 and as strong as an ox now so very positive for his future xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
