That's probably why the government cut the bankruptcy period to 12 months - they'd lose too much revenue otherwise.:rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

you seem fair pleased with yourself to be bankrupt, I totally understand that for some people life mishaps send them over the edge but having a dancing smiley beside your bankrupt date...you're takin the urine!!Debt @ LBM April 2005 £27500

There are loads of other things that go with the build-up of debt problems that lead people to decide to go BR, & when they do finally make the decision (after worrying about the stigma, how to go about it, what the fall-out will be from it etc) it's a big relief. So if someone put's a smilie after their BR date, it's not smiling at becoming BR as if they've attained one of their all-time goals, it's a smilie at having finally been able to do something about their debts & move their life forward. To be free of stress from debts is something to smile about, & as long as they got that way without committing crime, I don't see anything wrong with it.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

I can easily see that perspective, if you pop over here and take it at face value it may seem flippant and p**s taking, but nothing could be further from the truth and if you take the time to delve a little further you will easily see that.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
how can anyone think we take this BR easily .... admittingly it is easy to actually do but certainly not any easy decision to make ....it really is that last resort for everyone .... don't feel ashamed feel proud you are still alive and getting on with your life ...debt free ..BR as of 26th April 2007 and feeling 10 years younger :T
