I'm sure a lot of people already know about this place but I only discovered it on Saturday!
Basically its a Matalan where they send all the old stock but there are some real bargains to be had!
I had out of there a jacket, 2 vests, a t shirt and a long sleeved top for a tenner!
The sizes in the mens stuff are a bit hit and miss, they have a lot of stuff in small but not much in large and extra large which are the sizes I would have bought stuff in. But Women's stuff, they have all sizes and lots to browse through as well! My friend had some jeans from there for £3!!

I've been to the one in Swindon.
I got 2 really nice pairs of black work trousers for £3 each. Really nice shape and fit so not compromising and buying rubbish.
I got 2 really nice pairs of cut off jeans for 50p each (1 red 1 blue) and some boot cut jeans for a £1.
Some stuff scans in cheaper than the marked prices sometimes.
Only downside was that there were no changing rooms, but I got changed in the corner whilst my husband held up a coat :-)
Shameful I know but there's no point buying clothes that don't fit.
Obviously you have to be prepared for a bit of a rummage and some stuff looks a bit grubby.0 -
Hello, did a search and found this post-so hope you dont mind me butting in!
I also use the clearance matalan in wolves (my local is round the corner, but this one is usefull for bargain hunting!)
Was really pleased today-got a gorgeous jacket for £3.50! a pair of cord trousers for £2.50! and loads of pj's/seperates cheaply for the summer!
A few weeks ago i got a pair of combats for about a quid! and people kept commenting on them-i was grinning inside at how cheap i got them!
I agree that its hit and miss for men-esp if you arent 'small' ie my hubby didnt get anything today.
A short while back i got a lot of undies too, they didnt have many today though.
I pop in now and then to check for new things that may be suitable for me/family/gifts in home bit!
keely.
ps-no changing room-ive learnt to take a good guess, but you can actually return items for a full refund. just to let anyone know.Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
There's also one at the Metro Centre in Gateshead. Not actually inside, but it's one of the surrounding shops. I agree it can be a bit hit/miss, but there's usually a good few bargains!!:j30/7/10:j
