Mortgage problem.

I've today received a letter from my mortgage provider that our mortgage account has reverted to their standard mortgage rate.

My mortgage has now gone up from 370pound to 466. A big change that I can ill afford.
At the moment I'm on a debt management plan with cccs and unfortunantly I also got debt collectors knocking on my door.

Does anyone here knows where I stand. Am I in a position to change my mortgage provider or to haggle for better deals, considering my financial position?

(not sure I posted this question in the right place so move/delet it if necessary, Ive also posted this question in Mortgages & Endowments hoping for maximum help)

Mine made me cough up an extra 60 quid a month. Have you tried talking to them about it?
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

    Hi Greenpixey

When we come to the end of an offer we just ring them up and ask what they can offer us. They always have offers on, we have never had to change companies and have been doing this for years. Sorry I don't know if your present financial state will affect this, but I would def give them a call and see what they offer you.

Hope you can sort something out

hi, we had the same letter back in Jan. from the Bradford and Bingley, i just phoned up and asked what they could offer me and straight away on the phone they offered me a lower rate, saving me £105 a month. So it is worth a phone call to ask. good luck and let us know what happens. Sally
