Food processor recommendations - on a budget

I really want to buy a food processor, one that includes chopping/grating function especially for veggies and cheese! If it helps make pastry/cakes, then that would be great. I have never owned one and am on a very tight budget.
Anyone have any recommendations for a good starting processor. Also kitchen space is limited, so something compact would be good.
