well nearly four weeks for me and roughly 2781 comps entered....and exactly nothing
at least my wife who has entered about 2500 over the same time has won a cd !!!!
but i agree with what has been said above a lot of the comps entered have not finished or have just finished, then even the ones that have finished, most are in their 'notification' period....so the maximum comps i might have won up to now is actually far less than the 2781....
now in a months time if i keep up this rate i will have nearly 6000 comps entered and a far larger portion will have finished...so if i havent even won a bar of chocolate by then i might start getting disillusioned...
however until then i think if you dont have luck go for quantity ....which is why i go for quantity :-)Started late August 2012 .....Wins so far 'The Big C season 2':£5 light bulb voucher x 2: Scatterbrainz comp : art blocks : moons album d/l : The Lucky One dvd- win : Cabin in the woods goodies : Maoam bags x2 :Your Sister's Sister DVD: wooden satellite:Kayak Book ratio 13/74500 -
In your FB inbox there's a "Spam" folder and an "Other" folder, check those too hun as I know a few people who have missed wins because the messages went to one of those rather than their regular mail xx0

Well I wonder how many thousands more like you there are that have become compers as a result of reading the MSE newsletter. Could this be at the heart of the problem.
Ever more conscripts are being lured in by MSE and given the wherewithall to enter hundreds of competitions. It's all on a plate. There is little skill required. All that is required is your time sitting at a computer.

When you press the share button and the box comes up, click at the top where it says private and change to public. Don't forget to click on the same when you are posting a status to then make it private. Hope this helps

Sorry to be appear as thickhead
but I do not realised about make it open to public to have better chance as I seem wasted my time with my FB as I usually put it in private(only me) I now try to change 'only me' to 'public' on my timeline, Is 'public' necessary or 'my friends' will sufficent?
Posting a status?? what is that??:o:o

i dont really see it that way...sure there will be more people giving it a go (i was actually doing a little bit of comping before i came here, but found finding the comps harder than the comps)
the vast majority of people who give it a go wont stick with it, and i doubt there be thousands more of of full time compers on here as a result.
aye some will be lured in with the thought of 'something for nothing' however they will soon realise thats not the case, you have to invest time.
ive done a lot since i joined here mostly catching up to the backlog of comps i found, my daily numbers will drop soon as i'm nearly up to date.
anyway i won my first comp today so happy daysStarted late August 2012 .....Wins so far 'The Big C season 2':£5 light bulb voucher x 2: Scatterbrainz comp : art blocks : moons album d/l : The Lucky One dvd- win : Cabin in the woods goodies : Maoam bags x2 :Your Sister's Sister DVD: wooden satellite:Kayak Book ratio 13/74500 -
Realistically....lots and lots of people are comping....it takes time and commitment for wins to come...but it also takes belief...it sounds a bit random, but I've found that when you do it as a hobby and want to win for good reasons, rather than greed, you are more likely to win. If, however, you sit and think that you're never gonna win and moan about it, you won't..cos you're pushing it away from you. It takes a few months, dedication and a good honest belief/intention that you deserve to win that makes the wins come.

My boyfriend has been comping everyday (lots of comps) for about 2 years now and has only ever had a handful of wins whereas I tend to win quite a bit! The competitions he has won have always been effort comps, such as photo or clever Twitter comps.
I don't really know why some people win lots and others don't, I just think you need to be in it to win it and I don't get disheartened when I don't win for a long period of time. Maybe you'll win something huge like ITV!
