MBNA debts sold to Idem Servicing and Moorgate - advice please

Hello all,

Haven't been on here for ages because things have been fairly quiet with regards to my DMP with the CCCS. But today i received two letters (identical except for company name, log and website) the upshot is both of my MBNA CC debts have been sold on to Moorgate and Idem Servicing.

Has anyone had any dealings with these? I assume a collection agency much like 1st Credit? (#shudders#)
Do i just sit tight and hope they dont come a calling? It does state in both letters that they will continue the arrangement for reduced payments and no interest or charges will be made. All sounds a bit too good to be true?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Martyn

will be fine, mbna will just of sold your debt to someone who will be in it for the longhaul
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

My MBNA debt has been sold off to them today too...I got a letter this morning.

I'm surprised actually as I've been on my dmp since 2008 and for the last year have been paying MBNA more than the minimum repayments that I was before my dmp and only have about 4 months and only a few hundred quid to go (I owed them over 10k in 2008) until I've paid them off. Surprised they waited so long before selling...they must be a bit bored with me!

EDIT: MBNA have never defaulted me and according to my credit report, it's all green ticks from them and they've been brilliant with me throughout the whole time. I'm not particularly bothered about the debt being sold, just puts me a in a position to make a low F&F as DCA's tend to buy the debts for pennies in the pound.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
  • Yeah, my DMP started in early 2008 too. I've still got a way to go though :(
