My wife gave up work two years ago to take a break.
She has not claimed any allowances.
Can she now register for jobseekers allowance because she would like to retirn to work.
NI is up to date.

She can register but won't actually get any money! If she doesn't have NI contributions from working 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 then she can't get contribution based. With you working she won't be entitled to income related either.
I presume her NI contributions are up to date from other means than employment?Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

The best thing to do is actually apply and take it from there. You can do it within half an hour on line these days0

Job allowance is a form of unemployment benefit paid by the government to people who are unemployed and seeking work. I think your wife can register but you will not get any benefit because of the job gap.0
