Hi,bear with me as this is my first post.
I've tried looking for answers on other threads and i haven't found any so here goes
I have no paperwork for any of my ccs or mortgage i held in the past.
I've looked on Experian and whilst its shown me who i've borrowed from there are no account numbers.
I also know i've had cc previous to these 6 years records.
I looked at the SAR template however that also has a section for the account numbers as does the PPI template.
Do i press ahead and send the SAR to all the finance houses i think i have borrowed from without account numbers?
Thanks for your help in advance.
PS Any further advice would be appreciated

That could get expensive at £10 a go. Plus, it may not be worth it in the case of mortgages as the lender may not be the seller of insurances and mortgages dont bundle insurance in the same way credit card and loans do.
Plus, with older ones, whilst it is still possible to succeed with some, you could find they hold no details after 6 years. Even if you do get information, that only tells you what you did or did not have. It doesnt tell you if you were mis-sold or not.
If we assume you did have PPI with these, what would your complaint reasons be?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I'm self employed and from what i've read it seems that the PPI did not offer much cover,if any.I could off course be totally wrong!0

Before you do the SAR route you could try phoning the bank(s) to see if they can find any of your account(s) that had PPI.
You could also ask if they covered self employed and in the small print is there any exclusions.0

Some PPI has very poor coverage and that complaint reason would work with the poor quality ones. It would not work with the better ones. MPPI in general has better coverage than loan and credit card for example.
Good coverage for self employed is where you have to cease trading and sign on. Bad coverage is if they start adding other clauses such as needing to have unserviceable debts etc.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi dunstonh I have seen a case where the FOS has upheld a complaint where a self employed person has to cease trading before being able to claim.
