Private pension for husband, advice needed

  • Hi all,

Apologies for the delayed input but I have been out all day.

Regarding the pension my husband already has due to contracting out, I'm not sure of the specifics of this (although I intend to find out), however dunstonh is right, it wasn't really the focus of my questions - I included it more for background information. To focus on a discussion of that may have detracted from the point of my post, which was: I knew we needed to start a private pension and I wanted guidance (and, to be honest, a bit of re-assurance) relating to my plans for that (i.e. personal over stakeholder, etc.) which I received and now feel confident enough to set the wheels in motion.

So, I'm grateful for all contributions to the thread, particularly dunstonh, who seems to offer advice to a lot of posters and appears to me to be pretty good at pitching it at the appropriate level of technicality (so fairly low in my case :o).

So thanks to all who offered advice and I will update once the pension is in place.
