Private pension for husband, advice needed
Comments

            Hi all,
Apologies for the delayed input but I have been out all day.
Regarding the pension my husband already has due to contracting out, I'm not sure of the specifics of this (although I intend to find out), however dunstonh is right, it wasn't really the focus of my questions - I included it more for background information. To focus on a discussion of that may have detracted from the point of my post, which was: I knew we needed to start a private pension and I wanted guidance (and, to be honest, a bit of re-assurance) relating to my plans for that (i.e. personal over stakeholder, etc.) which I received and now feel confident enough to set the wheels in motion.
So, I'm grateful for all contributions to the thread, particularly dunstonh, who seems to offer advice to a lot of posters and appears to me to be pretty good at pitching it at the appropriate level of technicality (so fairly low in my case ). ).
So thanks to all who offered advice and I will update once the pension is in place.0
