Hi
i am considering an unsecured loan for consolidation of two credit cards. has anyone used the company "Your Finance". website is https://www.your-finance.co.uk i think they are probably cowboys!
failing that does anyone know of any other reputable companies for unsecured personal loans with a poor credit score?
thanks

Like most of these outfits they do not lend money. They act as a broker and pass your details to others.

    Taken from their website:

This Website is an independent marketing website and not a lender. We pass on enquiries to financial service providers and cannot offer financial advice. The Company is not responsible or liable for any financial service, loan or mortgage product obtained through a third party via our Website. An enquiry from this Website does not constitute an offer to provide a loan or mortgage.

My advice is to steer well clear.

Reputable lenders do not generally offer loans to people with "bad credit" for obvious reasons.

Perhaps provide details of your total debts and interest rates and your income with reasons why your rating is bad, i.e. missed payments, etc. and someone may have ideas.

It is unlikely that you will qualify for an unsecured loan from any "reputable" lender with "poor credit".

As per a post above, you would need to provide more details and possible members may have advise for you.
  • i guys, i have now had a few minutes to read that site properly (was in a bit of a panic earlier). its awful.
anyway, im on a payment plan, am halfway through, interest rates currently frozen, to cut a long story short im moving back in with the parents in the uk, i have a debt with barclaycard who have said that i should be able to return the account to a "normal status" as i can now afford the 2.5% minimum monthly payments (plus will be paying a bit extra off each month). that is 7k. second debt is with capital one and is 4800, i havent heard from them in 3 years and currently pay £15pm, i wrote to them last year when i increased payments to 15pm but didnt have a reply, no contact in three years. im currently living offshore, im worried that when i write to them to change my address the payment plan will go out the window and they will issue a ccj or something. i will be able to pay them 500 per month to clear the debt, want to get rid of that one first as that is the one that is listed as default. (barclaycard have reported it as an arrangment to pay to equifax and it will be back to normal soon). basically im in a huge tizz and am panicking. my parents dont konw about the debts and nor will they ever. will capital one agree to 500 pm? im so stressed about it all and just need it sorted. i cant cope much longer. i have no ccjs on record.

They will but your other creditors may pull out of the payment plan.

You are not meant to prefer one credit over another, certainly not to that amount!
  • but the barclaycard wont be on a payment plan, they will return it back to normal. should i contact cccs wjen i move to the new address?
