silly things you've given a try selling

I'm going to put my broken GHDs on there because apparently people pay £20+ for them. They don't work at all. They've been in the box under the bed for 7 years, I might as well see if someone else wants to buy them. If not, I've not lost anything. Also a broken LCD tv/monitor, it may or may not sell, but it's worth a try as I've seen some others sell. I'm not bothered how much that goes for, as it's mainly to get it out of the way
Otherwise it's going in the back yard with the other broken tv :P 0 -

Sorry but if i were a woman i would be scared in case the buyer was a nut job.
Although its quite possible the buyer was some rich company director, Happily married with several kids.
Its the thought though...
I certainly wouldn't be putting a return address on them!

Speaking of broken things, my brother recently bought a broken fridge freezer off ebay - big American style one - for about £60. Got it home, pressed the appropriate buttons and took it out of demo mode, which was the only thing that was wrong with it. Works beautifully and a total bargain! I've told him to list his old one on ebay for spares or repair and see what he gets for it."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -

If you know what you're doing, I bet you can pick up some right bargains on ebay. On the other hand, if you don't know what you're doing, it's a good way of getting a bit of money for something you're never going to use again. Would cost me more to get them fixed than it would to buy new ones I would imagine.0 -
I once sold an old magazine on ebay. It's amazing the things people will buy.0

Yep, probably would. I was actually discussing this with my brother and we sort of hatched a pipe dream to buy up broken electrical items, fix them and sell them on as used but working. He's an electrician (the small electrical component type) so would have no trouble fixing stuff. He even mended my dishwasher and my washing machine in the past so all in all saved us all a fortune.
Maybe one day."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
