Where to buy hand painted art from?

Hi
Looking to buy hand painted wall art, just wondering are there any websites in UK which stock a wide range of paintings which don't cost a small fortune? I did place an order with allposters.co.uk (USA based i believe) but their only hand painted painting turned out to be out of stock so they cancelled the order. Local art galleries are way too expensive & they don't have much of a choice.
Artoyster.com (USA based) has a good range with reasonable prices (between £100-£400) with free delivery to UK but i'm a bit suspicious on how they can claim to stock nearly every painting in every size!!! Any other suggestions?

Ebay can be an interesting source for little known artists. I have bought several original art works from there.0

I sell on Saatchi online, its a huge site but some original bargains by UK artists to be had:)

TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
Look out for local art society exhibitions. You may be surprised at the high standard of the paintings, the variety of subjects and the reasonable prices.Born to shop;)0

After a lot of dilly dallying i finally went ahead and ordered this oil painting from artoyster.com in a custom size 180 x 80cm. It arrived it today and oh boy it looks even better in real rife:

I paid £260 incl delivery ($424) for this which IMHO is a bargain...pretty sure painting of similar quality/size would cost hell of a lot more in UK. Despite the artoyster website looking a bit iffy, its definitely legit and i'd highly recommend it for reasonably priced price hand painted oil paintings...they have a pretty good range. Now have to find a decent frame
BTW i work for artoyster.....just kidding;)0 -
This may sound a bit mad but if you look around on Pinterest there are loads of amazing ideas to make your own art work, talent not necessarily required.
It might be worth a go for something totally your own and if it doesn't work out you haven't lost anything x0
