National Insurance ... Confused!

Hello everyone,

I'm not a regular on the tax forum so please have a little patience.

I have been a student / worked on and off all over the last 6 years. Sometimes I will have a job for 6 months 37+ hours a week and then I may have 3 months off work etc in a working year.

Is there any form / request I can make to find out if I have been entitled to my "stamp" each year? I have paid NI every month out my wages. But how do I know I will get the state pension etc...

I'm after some sort of document that will tell me what year in the eyes of the government I am classed as being entitled to the usual benefits that go with paying NI.
