Groupon '2nd class' meal tickets!!

been enjoying groupon now for a while, espically the groupon meals.

unfortunatly the last 2 myself and the wife have been on have left a sour taste in our mouths.

i understand some items on a menu may incur a supplement but the last indian we went to it would have been easy for the waiter to tell u what we could order!

its got the point now when we go for groupon meals we spend the first 5 minutes sat down arguing whos going to ask the waiter what we can and cant order!!

we're going to give them a miss unless the supplements/exculsions are clearly marked in the offer as the last 2 werent.

Not a very constructive comment! On the whole Groupon deals tend to be OK but it seems that once and a while a company will try to get one over on the customer. Stupid really as they are shooting themselves in the foot - customers will neither return nor recommend them to family and friends which is the whole reason for Groupon's existence.

Jeez you argue over something so simple, just 1 of you ask the waiter what you can or cannot order.

in a jovial manner, not at each others throats! be rude to ask the waiter for a table for 2 and some 12oz gloves!
  • have you complained to groupon? i did after a horrendous hair cut, they were very apologetic and sent me my money back into bank immediately.

I've read so many groupon problems now, I wouldn't touch any of their "deals" with a bargepole.

  • Well you could consider the position of the restaurant.

I mean, do you honestly expect them to sell at a loss? granted, there is an element of advertising and promotion, but the only real thing the restaurant will make is on sales of additional foods and supplements.

And THAT is exactly how Groupon "sell" the deal to the restaurant in the first place!

the only company that makes money out of groupon deals is,funnily enough, Groupon - because they have the captive database.
