I've managed one night out this year & it was paid for as a birthday treat .... and I'm DF but still can't afford to.
I so know where you're coming from as I had to give up Sky for 7 years whilst I cleared my debts and it was honestly one of the hardest things to go without!:oGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Good luck on clearing your debts and well done on facing up to things, it's a much more empowering feeling to be dealing with debts rather than burying head in sand!
What are your favourite programmes on Sky, can you watch those on freeview or online? Still get your treats at a fraction of the cost!0 -

I am on regular medication but unfourtantly when your on it for so long sometimes you have to try others as your body builds up an immunity to it. So it can take a few weeks to kick in and thats when i have my low points but thanks for the advice.:)
I will definitly look into the freeview option i promise as yes i need to save money, and i know with support i can do it. So a big thank you all this has given me a big kick up the backside. this whole site is great way to help yourself and others and i really do appreciate all advice.:j

Hi missy, welcome to the DFW board
I agree that you can cut down hugely on the grocery budget. In my household there is myself and my 2 children (12 and 8) and my cat, and i spent £200-£250 p/m on ALL food, cleaning products, pet foods etc.
I would advise looking on the 'September Grocery Challenge' thread, and reading the first few posts on there to give you a good idea of how to reduce costs. I used to spend £450 a month on food so have halved my food budget0 -
Forgot to say good luck too
