Currently working my way through diaries, however will take a wee break as my appetite is beginning to return so off to check what culinary delights I can muster up from freezer/cupboards.

Last night was a 'free-bar-tab' (for the table I was sitting at at least), hence my sore head as I also drank FAR too much red wine _pale_

I am now dreading the photographs that will go on-line:eek: as I will now have documented evidence of the year I wore that far too tight dress, which deserves more of:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

At least I feel more like myself now and will have another easy week managing to refrain from mid-week tipples so hurray there, BUT I am finding it so difficult to give up the biscuits / chocolate / crisps....I need a Lent type situation to see me through.

PS. Even in my fatness I think I managed to get chatted up a wee bit last night, so maybe there's life in the old hag yet:D

Did you ask them home to see your internal light ;)?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I wish I hadn't posted that I thought I may have been chatted up as no numbers were exchanged (my friend dragged me up to the dance floor and at the time, the wine made me think this was a great idea - I dread to think how I looked:eek:).
Afterwards I sat with another group of people I hadn't see for a while so didn't really see the guy again - I left fairly early as a friend's husband came to collect her and I was offered a lift home.
As I have been 'out of the game' for so long, the poor bloke was probably just being polite and friendly, although I do remember him telling me he thought I looked 'French' - is that a chat up line?

Anyway, back to reality - today I pulled loads of carrots from the vegetable patch (it's nice to know I 'pulled' something this weekend:D) so whatever we are having for tea, it will contain carrots....possibly baked potato with carrot;)

I am also going to up my mortgage O/P S/O, as any money I have in my account is being frittered away although I haven't bought any magazines for AGES - well expect my 3 for £3 Psychologies (sp?) and I still have loads of unread housie magazines donated by my friend:T

Perhaps due to drinking quite a lot over the last two Fridays, I have managed to refrain from the mid-week tipple - no planned outing for this coming Friday so the following week will be my 'litmus test' of managing this...also wine for me = munchies = extra lard:cool:

I feel my diary is reverting to non-inspirational dribble - apologies for this. I am trying my very best to read through people's diaries, so this week I will be mostly reading (from start to finish)........
