    My annoyance (apart from my sheer stupidity:mad:) is the 0% expires in November, and I will be unable to pay the whole amount by then, as my money is allocated for;
    son's 21st, car service, car insurance, house insurance and road tax.

    Could you use the money allocated for son's 21st to pay off the CC, and then take out a new 0% CC and pay for the birthday with that? It might help a little?

    I'm aiming for Aug 2022 as well so will be here for a while, currently sitting at Dec 2024 on the big bit and Aug 2027 on the little bit

    Thank you both, however I fear that I may bring a whole new meaning to the term 'long haul'.

    On the plus (there's always got to be a plus:D), I am very, very, very lucky that the light is shining in the distance (the distance currently being 2028 ;))

    Nah... neither of you is truly long haul. Read my sig.

    I am swithering whether to buy him driving lessons (much needed) or another very specific gift - although I think it makes more financial sense to go for a BT, I am hesitant to go through another credit check on top of much mortgage CR. I will definitely mull this one over.

    I have a feeling I will be alongside you to the bitter end Lois ;)

    Does this mean you will increase your monthly mortgage payment by £32 per month Natty or would that be too MSE?!!

    With the CC debt - so long as it's being paid on time every month, then £2k shouldn't be a problem with any lender really.... but then, what do I know?!

    Always on time lula - I have a SO and have done since I opened the CC, so never a missed payment. I know that in the great scheme of things £2K isn't the worst, however as I've never been in this situation before, I didn't know how it all works...

    PS according to FD website, the maximum I can borrow is £100K, so that puts that one to bed then. Next!!

    Yes but Cal, you're forgetting that you're a youngster, whereas I'm an octogenarian. I win I think :D
