me and my husband managed to pay off all our credit cards apart from 1 last year so when we got into difficulty due to our daughter bein born 10 weeks premature and him having to take time of work, we took a payday loan. of course we didnt listen to anyone who said it was a bad idea. then took another to pay that one off. ended up with a second one, so took a third to pay both of them of but ended up keepin all 3 an so on. u can guess the rest. were screwed excuse my choice of words but im ready to climb on to me rooftop and scream. as it stands were 1000 quid short for the end of this month alone an i cant figure out wat were gonna do. anyone else been in a similar situation and how did you get outta it besides jumpin in front of a lorry.

Hi dais-y-duck :hello:
Every debt has a solution and that includes yours.
My advice would be to phone CCCS for a non-judgemental and free service
"Helpline
Our FREEPHONE helpline is open from 8am-8pm Mon-Fri and 9am-3pm Sat. All calls from mobiles are FREE.

Our outgoings are as follows.
Mortgage £299
Rates £88.78
House and life insurance £40
My husband work insurance plan £33
Internet £10
My daughters savings £25
Sky digital £40 (were tied in til December)
Pounds to pocket loan £180
Lending stream loan £80
Then my mother and law gets £120 a month as she puts some bills on her credit card for us.
Provident gets £105
Electric is £80 a month
£200 for diesel
£250 for food
£80 for oil (we can only afford to buy drums at the min)
My husband gets roughly between £900 and £1100 a month. He does shift work an depends on his shifts.
We also get £134 child benefit a month
And £656 tax credits a month so in total we have £1790
And ive worked it out we roughly hav £160 left.
Now, what we owe.
Ulster bank credit card, the only one remaining is at £700, limit is £625
Payday uk (payday loan) £380
Quickquid £400
Wonga £730
Moneyshop £100
Cheque centre £80
£1690 of that (the pay day loans) has to come out at the end of this month out of the £180 quid we got left. They’ve already been extended.
Husbands plan is to pay off wonga then borrow it all again to pay the bills. It’s a vicious circle. I hope ive done that right and not left anything out0 -
Phone CCCS on 0800 138 1111
Or if you don't want to phone, use their online debt remedy
https://debtremedy.cccs.co.uk/start.aspx
You need a new basic bank account as soon as possible which is not associated with any of your debts for your husband's wages and your benefits to go into. The Co-Op is very good but there are others which CCCS will be able to advise you on.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Welcome to the Boards and forget the idea of jumping under a lorry, you have a little one who needs you!!
As Time to Face the Music says, you need to open a BASIC bank account with a bank you do not owe anything to, arrange to have wages and benefits paid into it. That puts you in control.
Then pay mortgage, rates, fuel, food and insurances. Contact SKY and tell them you are having difficulties and see if they will reduce the package if you cannot cancel it yet. In writing, contact ALL the companies you owe money to and tell them you are having difficulties.
In the meantime contact CCCS or do the online remedy thing.
You will get plenty of support and advice on here. Good luck.0 -
Hi I agree with the others CCCS have been brilliant, I cant reccomend them enough
Good luck with everything x
