Detangler recommendation?

I have quite long hair and despite conditioning after every wash and combing conditioner through it seems to tangle up the moment I step out of the shower lately (i've tried a couple of different shampoo/conditioner combos to see if the problem was the product I'm using but didn't notice much difference).
I'd like to find a detangling spray that doesn't make hair look/feel greasy or weigh it down too much- my hair is long and thick (but not coarse) and needs to be washed every day or it looks greasy to me. Can anyone recommends a good detangler that would be suitable to use from root through to the ends on hair like mine?

Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

Have you tried a Tangle Teezer brush? I've got very tangly waist length hair and have tried so many different sprays, the brush was the only thing that really worked for me. I hate that slightly sticky feeling you often get with detailing sprays and of course I don't get that with the brush.0

I had a very similar problem however never found a suitable product my mother got me a 'tangle tamer' brush for Christmas one year and now I couldn't live without it! Whilst they may not look like they would do very well they are amazing************************************

I have very fine hair and tangling has always been an issue - I second the Tangle teezer."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

my 6 year old has almost waist length hair-nightmare to comb through after washing her hair. I gave in and used my aussie leave in conditioner spray on her hair and it combed through so easily that we use it most times she has her hair washed now. Plus it smells yummy which is a bonus

Avon do a lovely detangler spray, it works so well on my daughter who has really curly tangly hair. Spray leave a minute (if that) and comb. I can even get a really fine comb through.
Better still it's the cheapest I've seen usually on offer for 99p or 1.99
She has a tangle teezer and also the tangle tamer brush which do an excellent job too (on 3 for 2 at boots at the mo) but they are more expensive that the spray £10 - £15.0 -
Thank you all. Is this the brush you mean?

My hair is below my waist, and one trick I've discovered is to brush it BEFORE washing it. This way, I've taken the tangles out before it is wet, and therefore weaker.
Of course, it still needs brushing after washing, but it's not as bad then.
I also recommend a tangle teezer.
The magic product my hair has been waiting for all its life is this:

But my hair is quite thick, and I think this is the most heavy duty version. Maybe try the gold or red version for your hair?

BTW I've been drooling over the new Tangle Teezer:

It's slightly curved, so should be easier to use. But I can't justify it, as I've already got the standard and travel versions.0 -
I use Argan oil after I have just washed my hair & it works great and a really good conditioner for the ends.0
