    Why do you assume the portfolio loan would be with BM?? So no it's not irrelevant at all....

    ...oh yes don't forget the 19 broker or admin fees!

  • Of course what your broker "should" have done was to go to a lender who would offer you a "facility", ie a single large account with an agreed amount of borrowing on it. Makes buying more in the future very simple!



    Actually had that that arrangment with RBS, but the deal on offer at the time was better with B & M

    What are you talking about? A good broker would not charge 19 broker or admin fees. I sure would not. This kind of client is worth their weight in gold. Should only charge one basic fee for the whole package. When I was a broker I never charged so had constant repeat business from remortgages and new purchases by professional landlords.

    In fact, the broker charged no fees whatsoever .


    Recently moved another portfolio of 6 properties, again from the R B S to B & M used a broker in London this time, he gave me £200 from his commission which I really appreciated. Again no broker fees were charged.
