I use old jars. Sometimes I out a request on freecycle for baby jars (perfect size for gifting) and I repay them with a jar of my last batch:)

Even pickle jars can be used again. It takes a few washes to remove lingering smells but bicarbonate works wonders. If you are making chutneys then it doesn't matter anyway.
