  • I have completed entering all the passwords and was sent the email with the code for claiming credits. However, none of the links in the email work, so I can not claim my free issues etc.

Anybody else have this problem and do they know the solution.

I used up more than half of my credits last night. Then I followed a banner to ancestry.co.uk and joined that site for free. Where I discovered that I could have gained exactly the same information for free.

So before you use your credits on Findmypast, join ancestry for free, get as much info as you can from there, then use your credits to fill in the blanks.

There is also a fantastic FREE site called Mundia http://www.mundia.com/gb/

Its in BETA test at the moment and is a sister site to Ancestry.com

You build you family tree online but the beauty of it is that information already included in tree's already created are available as "HINTS" so its quick and free to build up your tree and then use your credits for more obscure record checks. Try it its fun and won't cost anything.
