Credit check for job - will I pass?

I'm in the process of receiving/accepting a job offer for a large financial organisation (not a bank). The position requires a credit check and I decided to get a free check from Noddle as I wanted to be sure my credit was ok.

After getting the check I was a bit surprised to see some unpaid debts that I didnt know about. Although after some investigation it turns out they are correct and I have paid them this morning.
It looks like they have been on there ages and but obviously they are my fault.

Do you think this will hurt my chances with the job?

screenshot below (last 3 items are now clear although aren't showing up clear on the check yet)

... ah it seems I cant post an image as im a newbie!

  • Generally FS companies are concerned about defaults, CCJs, CIFAS or IVAs As long as you have none of these you'd probably be ok but some more sensitive roles can have issues with multiple late payments etc.

You mention there were "unknown" debts - were these marked as defaulted or late? etc
  • thanks for the quick reply.

They are marked as defaults. one was for £36 and the other for £186
I dont have any CCJs, CIFAS or IVAs.

if you remove the space after http:// the link should take you to the image.
  • Ultimately its down to the employer but certainly some wouldnt be happy with them.

It may be worth being up front about them and explain it rather than sitting back and waiting to see if they spot them/ have an issue etc
  • thanks for the reply.

I've just had a look at the application form I completed as I seemed to remember answering a question about CCJ's on it.

Here are the questions it asked.

(again, copy and paste removing the space after 'http://' or if anyone wants to repost my images correctly please feel free!)

I answered no to all of the above.. which I think is still correct?
They all seem to relate to slightly more serious issues.
  • The defaults wouldn't require you to say yes to any of those questions
  • great, thanks for your help :)
