I have read the credit score/report section and subsequently received my profile FOC, thanks Martin! Its has come back POOR. Looking through, all is in order and every single account is paid to date and every payment met and paid on time so I don't know why it's so bad? could changing bank accounts and moving house within the last 18 months make such a difference? oh and I confess to bouncing between 0% offers on credit cards although I have stopped that now....
Also, if a company has searched your profile and entered the wrong details slightly so searched again, does this affect your rating too? It's happened several times with wrong date of birth and postcode.
Just need some explanation and maybe a way to improve my score - can anyone help?
Alice

I don't get this. If they entered the wrong details and the file wasn't found, how can that appear on the file? If the file was able to be seen even though they mistyped, why would they need to repeat?olibearhorse wrote: »Also, if a company has searched your profile and entered the wrong details slightly so searched again, does this affect your rating too? I am on the electoral role, I have no outstanding/unused credit cards, my partner is named several times re joint mortgage and one joint loan (all fully paid and to date), I have also noticed that when he has search for new insurance and includes me it is also noted on my file although it does say that this is not seen by lenders. Anyway, I thought that nowadays other peoples credit rating (i.e partner) doesn't affect your own? am I wrong?
Compound - I don't understand either why the incorrect details have shown on my report - they have put in the wrong postcode and it came up with my details but different address?? Should I contact CreditExpert about this? I probably am guilty of applying for several cards recently and have been refused twice in the last year.....
Sorry I'm babbling!0
