Nationwide loan soft search, left a search on my credit file

Morning. I've been checking my credit files over the last few days and found several searches on my credit report by Nationwide in relation to loan quotations, spanning the last few months. On the first page of the application it advises you that it's no obligation and won't impact on your CRF, but there was about 6 or 7 on my Experian credit file. I admit I made all the searches but under the impression that it wouldn't leave a footprint. Not very happy right now. So BEWARE!
I'm going to pop in to my local branch later but i don't think they'll help me!

I think you will find that they are quotation searches and have no impact on your credit status.
Application Type: Personal Loan Quotation
The quotation search is only visible to you, and quite rightly so as surely it would be nice to know if someone was going around getting quotes in your name without you knowing?0 -
It doesn't say 'Quatation' anywhere, where as something else I got a quote on DOES say 'quotation', hence why it looks like a full credit search.0

You must of thought quotation means go ahead and continue to the full application as if you would of cancelled the application it wouldn't of come up as credit search.0 -

Eh?!
I've never clicked on 'Complete Application', i've only gone as far as the 'Personal Quote' screen.0 -

It's been a few years since I had their free trial, so don't remember/know now how they present the information online, but their £2 copies used to list 'unrecorded enquiries' (which is what your quotation searches should be) separately.0 -

It was a £2 stat. report. I'll copy and paste exactly what one of them says tonight when i get home.
It lists all searches together, so I can see insurance quotes with a credit card application search, a nationwide current account application credit check, then all these personal loan searches.0 -

In that case they wont have done a full credit search on you so you are mistaken with what you are looking at on Experians website.0 -
Only 'credit application' search footprints can affect scoring. You see them all though.

I've just checked my latest Experian statutory credit report and it shows the following details for a Nationwide Personal Loan quotation:
Searched by: NATIONWIDE BUILDING SOCIETY (PLOAN)
Application Type: PERSONAL LOAN QUOTATION
If yours is not showing 'Quotation' under 'Application Type', then you should raise this issue with Nationwide/Experian.0 -
