I have cross posted this on Motoring but thought it might do OK here too:
Hi Folks,
I don't ususally post stuff like this on here but my friend really needs help.
See, his boy was mown down by a hit and run on friday night and we're trying to find the vehicle involved and maybe the driver too.
here's the link to the news article
and here's the appeal from another of my friends (he's posted it on his facebook):
'SERIOUS APPEAL TO ANYBODY IN THE SPALDING AREA OF LINCOLNSHIRE: A cyclist was involved in a collision with a vehicle which didn’t stop, leavin' him dead at the side of the road in a ditch. It happened on the A151 Bourne Road between the Monks House Lane crossroads and Pode Hole at around 9pm. The lad was a son of a good friend of mine who I work the NABD rallies with, Creature.
Sgt Mark Carling, of Lincolnshire Police’s road policing unit, has issued an urgent appeal for information.
He particularly wants to hear from anyone who knows of a van that sustained “unexplained front or side damage” on Friday night.
He said information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Please, if you have any information - anything at all on this, maybe you've seen the damaged van an' didn't realise it not knowin' about the accident - get in touch with Lincolnshire Police, call 101 quoting incident 9 of September 15.. There was enough damage to the van an' parts on the road an' at the side of the road that the police will be able to identify the make an' model of van. Please help if you can. Thanks.

A little background... his mum and little brother went looking for him because he hadn't arrived home at the usual time. they found him in the ditch.
I shouldn't have to write this but. Please don't troll or spam on this post, I'm finding it hard enough to cope with their loss as it is.
FEEL FREE to repost this on other forums and on facebook if you think it can help.
Thanks
