My wife works full time and pays tax through PAYE. She has recently started doing beauty therapy treatments from home. What tax will she pay and how does she go about declaring it?

She'll have to register as self-employed and go on to self-assessment. Take a look at the HMRC website, very helpful. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/
Any extra income will be taxed at her marginal rate. If she makes a loss then a tax rebate will be due.A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone - Thoreau0
