3 burgen soya linseed loaves, 60p; Should be £4.47
    3 packets frubes 60p; £6.00
    packet raisin pancakes 10p; £1.10
    bag carrots 5p; £0.50
    packet 4x panini 10p; £1.50
    2 croissants 10p; £4.80
    2 trays pansies 20p; £8.00
2 x trays cyclamen 90p but my mum paid and I gave her a pound off voucher so didn't really pay; £8.00
    3 big tubs double cream 81p; £5.40

    Should've Spent: £39.77
Actually Spent: £3.46 (before accounting for £1 voucher)

(all prices are total, so 20p/loaf, 27p/tub of cream, etc)

All have been frozen, carrots were made into soup with some bacon and lentils and frozen in portions. Paninis were served with bacon and tomato for breakfast and pancakes were given similar treatment.

The frubes were frozen to be packed in lunches over the coming weeks and the cream was churned into ice cream with some icing sugar and vanilla bean paste.

The flowers, well... I'm not very green fingered so don't mind paying cheaply cos they'll just be killed anyway :o

My only contribution is a pack of TTD clementines reduced from £1.49 to 25p
The £1.49 was supposed to be half-price!!!!!
Imagine £2.99 for 9 clementines??

    Sainsbury's 9pm
They also had lettuce and beans for only 10p.
I wanted bread, but it was only reduced to half-price and I don't do half-price. :D
    I need 75%+ reductions. lol

  • Got a tiger loaf in Waitrose reduced from £1.26 (I think) to 17p at about 5pm.

Potato salad reduced from 63p to 19p.

Three packs of 450g stewing steak each reduced from £3.99 to £2.25 and on three for £10 so three packs for £4.78. Not sure this counts as it's a multibuy.

Not been paid to take anything last week or this week (yet) :(.

  • Hey guys,
Mind if i join you? I've been lurking for a while and it's oddly exciting discussing bargain buys. Almost like beating the supermarket at their own game!

I stopped off at Morrisons yesterday at 7pm and picked up a few bargains.

    Hot counter:
    Cumberland Ring 49p,
Hot and Spicy Chicken wings 49p,
Whole cooked chicken £1.99 (usually £4.40) (This does two meals for me and Dad and the animals get the skin and bits so bargain!)

    Deli:
Large salad bar usually £3.50 ish with pasta and bhajis for 55p

    Bakery:
5 pick and mix rolls usually £1 - only 19p,
Pain de la creme twin pack 25p usually 69p

    Other:
    3x Innocent smoothies Cartons 750ml - 45p each usually £2.70 each,
Potato wedges with dip pack 99p instead of £2,
Three pack of apple slices with strawberry dipping sauce 9p

All in all not a bad shop although i didn't need anything specific, i like to bargain hunt when i'm there :)
