Overpay mortgage or put it in a pension
digg
hello all.
I am currently investing the maximum possible in my pension (17% of salary).
I am thinking of reducing this and using the money to overpay the mortgage.
What should I be aware of when making this decision?

are you going to live to an age when you can definitely draw your pension then?
Just a thought - but a genuine honest think about it contribution

You should know the mortgage interest rate and whether you can get a better return from cash ISA, stocks and shares ISA or pension investing. You should also know the details of your state pension forecast and private and work pension forecasts so you can see what your likely income when retired is and judge whether that's sufficient and whether pension, ISA or something else is best to improve it if that is necessary.0
