Will my defaulted business loan affect my credit score?

Comments

  • I've had a look and NatWest uses Experian.

I've applied for credit but been refused, however this could be due to 2 Nationwide defaults I got as a result of being a student one which I am paying off and one which I had an offer accepted on which is considered Satisfied. I also have to wait until October 16th to be registered on the electoral roll at my current address, which I know helps.

I just find it strange the business loan doesn't appear anywhere on there.

People. I appreciate I was nieve, and have faced up to that. I intend to pay back every penny I borrowed, please do not tar me with the same brush as people who obtained easy credit, only to spunk it on cars, holidays and clothes! It would be impossible for me to explain the full extent of the situation and why I feel aggrieved with the lender.

If you just want to have a pop at me don't bother, I've heard it all before.

Who was having a pop at you ?

Whether its CCA or not doesnt make much difference in terms of it showing up on your credit report

Presumably it was a sole trader business and the loan taken out in your name - in which case it should show up

I dunno - but you can probably be sure if you default and it goes to a debt collector they wil lsoon track you down and add it to your credit report.

if it is not showing up on any of your THREE credit reports then it wont be affecting your rating - but it could show up at any time. credit reports are not always totally accurate.
  • So now you have a Nationwide default as well as a defaulted Nat West loan - do us all a favour and jog off here to another place.

You deserve no help at all - timewaster!
  • I'm not interested in getting into silly internet arguments about the rights and wrongs of how to live your life. If you don't want to comment...don't.

I have been paying the defaulted loans back, so no-one is chasing me. Essentially it sounds like a bit of a grey area. It's difficult to find a government based 'help' group that isn't trying to sell you into bankruptcy or an IVA! The c.a.b are lovely people but this is out of their depth as they don't deal with business loans.

If it was not taken out on behalf of a limited company, you are liable to make the payments.
  • I know that ILW, and have been regularly. What I am trying to establish is why it does not appear on my credit file?! Can someone suggest a forum more specific to my requests?
