hi there.
everything comes at once doesn't it?
sorry about your job situation.
have a look on the meal plan threads for ideas.
plan meals around what you have in, stretching things furthur than you usually would ie, smaller portions but add few more veg/ slice of bread and butter etc.
meal ideas from what you have in could be:
cooked pasta mixed with tin toms ans seasoning.
tuna mixed with with a little lemon juice or vinegar in a sandwich.
tuna pasta bake
pasta with a tin of soup, make breadcrumbs and sprinkle on top before cooking
tinned spag on toast
make a list of EVERYTHING in your cupboards/fridge and freezer too.
you make be having some funny mixes of food but its only until thursday.
do you have anything you can take to a cash converters / pawn shop / gold buyer ? eg.games consoles/ games/ dvds /mobile phone /jewellery / bikes / tv etc ?
once you have this week is done, see if you can sit down and go through all your incomings and outgoings and work out a budget for the future until you are back in work.
think there are also things like crisis loans you get through job centres, maybe google it!
whatever you do,don't get a payday loan if possible.
am sure you will gwt lots of advice on here, hang in there, good luck.LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -

Hi
Do you have any unwanted CDs, DVDs, video games etc? If you have a CEX nearby, they buy them off you.
Also, if you have facebook, there are often local selling sites. In the search box on facebook, just type in your town name and 'selling' and it should come up withh something. That way, you dont have to worry about postage/ebay fees, as people in the local area can collect.
Also, if you have any spare change (i collect coppers and 5p coins), sort it out and take to the bank.
In regards to the food- if needed, google your local foodbank info.
Also, ,look on here for some brilliant threads, such as the £7 a week meals (cant rememeber the proper name of it, i am sure someone will help you out on that one). If you look on the grocery challenge for September, you will see in the first few posts on there, are loads of recipes which may come in handy.
EDIT- here is the link to the £7 menu thread i was on about https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/40845270 -
Hi,
I think you have got some great advice above - you've got 4 days until you get some more cash in, so it's not going to be as bad as you think - and asparagus 1968 has given you some good meal ideas based on what you have in.
It might be an idea to work out a monthly budget based on your current income (until you find new work - when will you hear about the job interview? - fingers crossed for you). Here's the link to a Statement of Affairs calculator, to help, if you post it here people will be able to advise as they can to try and prevent this situation happening again:

Also, here's a link to Martin's advice on grants available - there might be something there that's relevant:

I know that you have said that you are quite far from the nearest food bank, are there any other charities nearby that might be able to help in another way? Which area/region do you live in?
Sorry I can't be of more help,

Call the compnies you have to pay and they should assist you.Cancel any debits you cant afford.
Mkae a list of what you absolutely need to pay for and dont panic about the rest. Once you are over this hill then look at your finances and seek help if you need it.
hugs to you all........0
