On Alliance & Leicester's home page they are advertising their mobile banking service.

If you sign up, go through the registration process, wait for a security code in the post and then enter the code into your mobile phone, you can do pay as you go top up for free and also balance enquiries and mini-statements on your mobile for 20/25p.
If you do any of those things, A&L will give you £10.00 into your bank account "within 35 days" they say. So for 20p on your mobile credit/bill, you get a tenner.
