Nationwide Flex Account to Nationwide Mortgage - internal transfer

Sorry for the post but I'm a bit worried and I cannot contact Nationwide as it is Sunday.
Basically my mortgage repayment is set to be paid on 15th each month via internal transfer from Flex Account. For the first time yesterday the balance was about 30 pounds less than than the amount needed for my monthly mortgage repayment. It all happened because the day earlier I was very busy and had no chance to transfer money to that account. Now, on top of the balance I had I also have overdraft facility on my Nationwide Flex Account. If it was a normal direct debit from outside the balance would be cleared to 0 on the day and also the 30 pound overdraft would be used.
But does it work the same way with Nationwide internal transfer, or do I need to have enough balance to clear the payment regardless the overdraft available? I admit I'm a bit worried now as the payment was not taken yesterday.
EDIT: I must add that yesterday (Saturday) just after midnight (0:20am) I transfered money to Flex account which appeared on it straight away. So the balance after 0:20am on Saturday was way over the necessary amount for my mortgage repayment.

Hi are you sure the mortgage will come out on the Saturday and not the following working day ie Monday 17th. When I have a nationwide CC payment due over the weekend it never comes out of my flexaccount until the Monday.0

You see I don't know. I've never watched it closely until yesterday. When I looked at all the previous statements the payments were taken on 15th and on 16th a few times too (when 15th on that month was Sunday).0

Still 9am Monday and money was in my Flex Account. I rang Nationwide and they couldn't tell me why. There was no outstanding payment on Flex Account so they offered they would process that payment now.
So if I didn't ring them today it looks like I would end up with arrears!!! Not cool.
I'm confused now. Does that mean the overdraft cannot be used to repay mortgage? I wonder whether that was the reason they didn't attempt to take the money.
Not happy with Nationwide today.0
