Bad Credit Loads - a word of warning!!

Yesterday I received a call from a company called Bad Credit Loan Lender "kindly" offering me a loan of £1000. They informed me that in order to go ahead and complete the loan and have the funds deposited into my account within half an hour, I would need to pay £110. I was told this wasn't a fee simply my first repayment instalment in advance, to show good faith. I told the lady I didn't want to pay the money upfront and questioned why I should have to. The lady got rather shirty and continued trying to "bully" me into taking the loan. She said I should go to a paypoint and ask for a UKash voucher for £110 and she would call me back. The same lady has called back again today, demanding I take this loan. I told her repeatedly I didn't want the loan and I didn't trust the company she worked for. Again she seemed shirty and told me if I didn't take the loan I would be blacklisted from getting a loan anywhere for 5 years!!! I began to ask if the company was governed by the FSA but unfortunately the lady didn't seem to understand what I was asking, lol. She kept asking why I didn't want the loan. so I told her I felt it was a scam and any loan company offering a loan will not take payments up front before releasing funds. she asked one more time (!) if I wanted the loan and I shouted NO! She told me never to call her again (she called me!) and hung up.
I've got to admit I'm tempted to call her back, purely to annoy her
)
has anyone else experienced the same thing I have? and if you haven't, pleaded stand your ground and do not enter into a loan with companies like this.

Stand your ground???
Why didn't you just put the phone down rather than get into a discussion?
For you to have gone that far with this cold caller suggests you must have had some confidence that these strangers were going to help you.0 -
This was on tv this week,they get you to buy the voucher then say they need another one,then another one etc.Before you know it you have spent more than you wanted.0

why even get into a discussion with them if they called you and you are not seeking any kind of credit? just hang up. No one can force you to do anythign over the phone0

Although it does seem that the op was in some way tempted by the offer, i would personally never hang up on a cold caller straight away.
I was recently contacted by a guy offering me "AMAZING LIFE INSURANCE!" He even knew my name and was telling me about all the benefits of their "AMAZING SERVICE" and how my wife would be so much better off if anything happened to me.
After about 10 minutes of this, i calmly informed him that i didn't like my wife and that his product would be no use to me. When you do stuff like that, they never call back.0 -
I got a local Police Alert email on this scam.
I think I'd have enjoyed going along with it and winding the caller up for a little while, before telling her to get lost. I sometimes do it with those "your pc is running slow and I can fix it over the phone" scam calls. I might need to get a life I think.0 -

There are so few problems in life that can be solved by pressing a button. Make the most of them when you can!0
