Hi I have a letter delivered from Drydensfairfax solicitors saying that I owe max recover £4306.86 for a debt which I made a agreed settlement figures in 2008.
I then got 2 letters from max recover saying
We are required to send you the statements in compliance with consumer credit act 1974 until such point that there are no sums payable under your agreement and no sums that will become payable.
It is a legal requirement to send you this statement even if your payment arrangement with us are upto date.
I have checked my credit report and these debts do not show up,
My question is what do I do?

The letter reads
We are solicitors instructed by our client, max recovery limited, to obtain immediate repayment of the amount due £4306.86. Payment methods are provided on the reverse of this letter.
If you are unable to make immediate payment in full, it is most important that you call us within 10 days of the date of this letter to discuss nd agree a satisfactory repayment arrangement.0 -
Then send them a copy of your previous settlement letter, with instructions to take a long walk off a short pier.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Just checking - do you agree that this account is the one that you settled previously? Do the account numbers match, original creditor the same etc?
If it is the account you recognise, was the settlement in 2008 full and final or partial?
And did you keep the letters?BSC No 248
