Soon entering 2nd year of university - any options for military sponsorship?

I've been interested in a military route - preferably the Navy.
Have I left it too late to embark on an official sponsorship->degree->job route?

Business Finance with Mandarin Chinese is not a 'good degree'. A 'good degree' is a STEM subject like Physics, Maths, Engineering etc. The UK needs people who can design, make and/or fix 'stuff'. They are way too many people out there with liberal degrees aka useless degrees hence the high unemployment rate for grads!
Can you switch to a STEM subject? Forget the China nonsense too, we need to beat them, not join them! The first place you'll find is a sleaze-pit called Bartertown. Now if the earth doesn't swallow you up first, that place sure as hell will!0 -
This may be a stupid question, but have you checked the navy website? From what I can see, when employing graduates they're looking for medicine/theology/engineering/nursing degrees, so this would probably mean that you may have to join at a lower level (i.e. A-level entrance). The sponsorship seemed to focus on before university application, but I could be wrong.
However, rather than take my/our guestimates, why not contact them yourself and ask?

btw - I think that mandarin chinese would be quite useful in business/diplomatic jobs, so you might want to check these avenues out - also ask yourself why you chose those subjects as it may give an insight into what kind of job you really want/may suit you (unless you've had a complete change of heart whilst at university obviously)
Good luck0 -

Employment statistics after graduation aren't necessarily the same thing as a "good" degree.0 -
Amazing how the OP leaves out the other subjects:
Dentistry 83%.
Medicine 87%.
Pharmacology & Pharmacy 68%.
Architecture 56%.
Civil Engineering 72%.
Chemical Engineering 59%.
All STEM subjects! The first place you'll find is a sleaze-pit called Bartertown. Now if the earth doesn't swallow you up first, that place sure as hell will!0 -

Being able to speak Chinese would be a big bonus in many retail head office/supply chain jobs.0 -

Yes! I only found out about it recently. In the new year I'm planning on joining it.0
