Hi all,
I have debt!
I want to know if I mov in with someone as a lodger would they become financially linked to me? Woudl the address be "blacklisted" for want of a better word should they wish to take out credit?
It is my mum's that I would be moving into and she knows about my money troubles but I dont want it affecting her
Thanks in advance
Sal

More clever people will be along soon, but I think:
- People are blacklisted, not addresses
- If you don't have any financial connection (i.e. shared bank accounts, loans) with your mum then you won't become financially linked.
So you shouldn't have anything to worry about (and hopefully you're saving a few pounds from lodging which can help your personal debt situation)
More than happy to be corrected however - that's how we learn new things!

Can I bump this up just to see if there are any differing opinions on it?? How about bankruptcy can that be linked to an address?

Hi have a look in this thread and ask a question, I am sure they will be able to help in case no one else is around to answer tonight, it would be good to read other people's questions in case there is one like yours in there.
