Hi
Im currently defrosting an already made meat and potato pie filling but fancy more of a curry, its only a two portion amount, what can I add to it to make it more of a curry (not too hot please)
I have in my cupboard:
Ground corriander
ground Turmeric
Hot & mild chilli powder
garam masala
And have some ginger pieces in the freezer
Any ideas are most welcome

Hmmm... interesting question!
What is your pie filling made of? (Apart from meat & potato, obviously!)
Without knowing the above, my first instice would be to fry some garlic, then add some chopped tinned toms & let it reduce to a sauce, then add whatever spices you like to your taste & finally stir in the pie filling once it's defrosted, then cook til it's bubbling & heated through.
Don't know if it would work or taste good, but that's how I'd do it!Pax Et Bonum0 -
That's all you need.if you have an onion, chop the onion & add some ginger & puree to a paste in a blender.Fry off some of the spices in a dry pan for a few seconds then add the puree.
After a couple minutes add the pie filling.About 5 minutes towards the end,add a teaspoonful of Garam Masala.0 -
