Have I been scammed

Hi - I've sold a mobile phone on Ebay to this buyer - matafleur21 and have been paid by Paypal (i've checked my account and the moneys definitely in there). The problem is i've done a search and found he/she has bought about 20 phones in the last few days. Should I just refund the payment and relist?

Yes this is the problem I'm having - would those sellers know by now whether they had been scammed or am I being too cautious?

you're right its unconfirmed - it says 'xxxxx has provided a Unconfirmed Address' and also the addressee name is different to this account name.

If it turns out it is a scammer will Ebay refund my fees?

Ebay won't refund your fees and paypal will refund the buyer as it is not a confirmed address.

Not sure how to progress, unless you just refund them through paypal and start an unpaid item claim through ebay to reclaim the fees as the buyer used an unconfirmed address, which you surely stated as a requirement for paypal purchasers in your listing. Didn't you?

do a paypal refund and start a NPD on ebay stating the buyer wants the item send to an unconfirmed address. I NEVER accept any payments from unconfirmed buyers EVER.

Is there a setting for doing this in the buyer preferances for instance or do you mean by just writing it on the listing. I havent actually noticed it on anyones listings myself thats why im asking. Also if paypal wont protect ebay should have a facility to screen them .
Out od about 1000 sales through paypall I have only had about 400 comfirmed addresses which just shows the volume of people who use it without a confirmed addrees. The problem I find is paypal dont really make it clear what happens if anything goes wrong with an unconfirmed addess. I dont see why a person who isnt confirmed can get there money back while the seller who is loses out .
