shopping trolley

Options
Does anyone know the best kind of trolleys to get. I'm looking to get one for my Mum. She is 79 and has a bit of weakness in her arm where she got her lymph nodes taken out, and she overcompensates with the other, and has a bit of rheumatism too. She's not too bad but carrying a bag for any length of time is a bit of an effort.

I'd like something that's easy to push. It wouldn't need to hold a huge amount of stuff, like groceries, as she takes the car to the supermarket - just for her to browse the shops with really. Something light enough that she can lift into the boot of her car for when she's out on her own.

Also, she's not an 'old' 79yo. ;) So nothing too old-fashioned. :)

I work with someone who has one and it's a real effort to pull/push, as it's low and not very stable when you leave it standing. It used to rock back and forth like a wonky caravan on the back of a car!

Something like a Sholley perhaps? I believe they're better than they were, i.e. they now have wheels that turn (like a buggy) - they used to be fixed and they were difficult to get round corners.
I don't know of any others that are 'push' rather than 'pull'.

    Thanks LadyDee.

I was hoping for something a bit more modern looking. I did say push didn't I? But one that was easy enough to pull would be fine too. :)

To be honest, the pull along are OK but if she has any problems with her arms/hands she might find them difficult to manage. If she does want a pull along then the tri-wheel ones are better balanced.
  • Shopping trolley is the most important thing in each and every shopping trolley. You would find different kind of trolley in every shopping mall. Whether it is small or big one.
